1. Full addresses at both ends
Include the business or site name, building or unit, street, town, postcode and country. Check any address suggestion before submitting. A postcode alone may identify the area without identifying the exact loading point.
2. Goods, dimensions and weight
Describe the goods in plain language. Give the number of pallets or packages, the length × width × height of each loaded item and its weight. Measure the packaging too. Identify non-stackable items, overhanging goods, machinery, fragile cargo and anything needing specialist handling.
3. Collection and requested delivery dates
State when the goods will be ready, the collection opening hours and any deadline at the destination. Include timed booking slots or an event date. We check availability before confirming a service; an enquiry date is a request, not a confirmed booking.
4. Loading, unloading and access
Tell us whether each site has a forklift, loading bay or other equipment. Mention tail-lift requirements, narrow roads, vehicle height limits, residential addresses and appointment systems. The correct vehicle needs to reach the site and handle the load safely.
5. Additional requirements for Europe
Include both countries, a clear goods description and any known documentation or border arrangements. We will discuss requirements for the specific movement. Do not assume customs services, duties or taxes are included unless your quote states this.
